-About the Artist-
Local artist Lara Kunz grew up immersed in nature, shaped by landscape that left a lasting impression. Born in Switzerland, she later moved to Haida Gwaii, B.C., and eventually to Cape Breton Island. From the Alps to the Pacific Ocean and the Highlands of Cape Breton, these places fostered a deep sense of connection. Now based in Cape Breton, Lara balances her creative life with hands-on work as a carpenter alongside her partner. She spends her days homeschooling their son, working outdoors, and painting whenever she can, drawing continual inspiration from the land and sea that surround her.
