It is often said that “truth is stranger than fiction”, and nothing illustrates this better than this fantastic, sometimes humorous, and nearly tragic story of a young family’s adventure in 1972 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Their fantastical adventure brings forth a cast of colourful characters who so well exhibit the rugged self-reliance, selfless assistance and stoic determination found in the inhabitants of Nova Scotia.
