Between the years of 1851-1859, over 900 Highlanders who had lived in Nova Scotia, Canada for upwards of 40 years sailed to New Zealand in six ships. Forty years later, one of them writes thirty letters home to Nova Scotia. Here they are, for the first time brought together, translated, and presented as a whole.
